Using
Win32 GrADS with X-Win32
A fully functional demonstration of X-Win32 is available from Starnet:
http://www.starnet.com/docs/xwin32.html
This demonstration copy of X-Win32
will close your X session in 2 hours. You will be warned 15 minutes before
shutdown. You may restart X-Win32 to run additional 2-hour sessions. For
additional information contact sales@starnet.com.
REMARKS:
- You must have some form of TCP/IP
support on your Win95/NT box in order to have your X clients talking to
the X Server. If you don't have a network card installed, in the very least
you will need the Win95/NT dial-up network component installed (the same
stuff you use to connect to an ISP).
- Starnet's X-win32 does not work
well if you have a dial-up network and you are not connected through
a phone line. Workaround: you need to disable DNS. Click on [Start]/[Settings]/[Control
Panel]/[Network], then choose the "TCP/IP" network component,
click on tyhe "DNS Configuration" tab, and finally check "Disable
DNS". Remember to to write down the IP numbers of your name servers
and enable DNS back when connecting to your ISP.

commercially available X servers consult Kenton Lee's page:
